Description SUMMARY The Executive Director (“ED”) of Operations is responsible for leading and streamlining the operations functions to ensure consistent and robust delivery of supplies to customers. This role involves building systems, processes, and teams to achieve 100% on-time delivery and support the company's operational goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Lead and integrate the three main functions (Facilities & Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to support operations. Develop and implement strategies for growing and maintaining the operations of the main functions and company. Ensure robust delivery of supply, internal products and service to customers and business partners. Develop and implement systems, processes, and tools to support operational efficiency and client needs. Oversee operations for the direct-report departments. Manage budgets for all three sections, including headcount, operational expenses, and capital expenses. Make and approve operational decisions within the scope of the position. Key Relationships Functions as member of the operational site leadership team. Daily interactions with Facilities, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams. Regular interactions with the Operations Leadership Team (OLT), Quality Process Development, HR, and Finance. Routine contact with clients, vendors, consultants, and global engineering teams. Performance Metrics Maintains key operational KPI’s for Facilities & Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, including achieving 100% on-time delivery.. Positive behavioral interactions as demonstrated by 360 feedback. Meeting yearly goals and objectives with frequent touchpoints. Metrics related to manufacturing, supply chain, and facilities. Requirements Education 10 years of experience in biotech and contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) environments. Experience in both commercial and clinical manufacturing. Technical degree in engineering or science; MBA preferred. Strong financial acumen and experience in setting and measuring financial paths. Experience in planning and overseeing supply chain, facilities & engineering, and manufacturing in a biotech environment, required. Knowledge, skills, and abilities ? Advanced experience with biopharmaceutical manufacturing process and equipment. ? Proven track record of leading operations (facilities, manufacturing and supply chain functions) and implementing growth, efficiency and quality strategies for these. ? Extensive knowledge of cGMP regulations/guidance and quality systems. ? Approaches responsibilities with urgency, demonstrating flexibility and agility ? Demonstrates initiative and creativity ? Ability to inspire and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency and team effectiveness. ? Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ? Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as digital literacy ? Ability to function efficiently and independently in a changing environment ? Proactive and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
