QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in related fields such as banking and finance, business administration etc.
  • Certification in Project Management
  • Portfolio management, project planning and management, change management, risk management and other applicable project management qualifications
  • Project management certifications such as PMP and CAPM will be highly regarded
  • Process improvement skills and certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Scrum / Agile
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools

REQUIREMENTS

  • About 10 to 15 years’ experience in the financial sector with leading projects in corporate banking is essential
  • Managing large-scale, front-to-back, business, regulatory, digitalization and/or process improvement projects
  • Good appreciation of digitalization as such big data and AI particularly with application to the financial industry
  • Confident in leading discussions with senior management, building consensus and influence change
  • Ability to bridge between business needs and technical requirements
  • Collaborative and a good listener to understand businesses need
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving and leadership skills

Responsibilities

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing a set of interrelated projects and ensuring successful delivery of the overall program. The role holds a strategic function to work closely with various stakeholders to achieve business goals and objectives, including Mid-term plans.

  • Plan and define the scope of the program and its individual projects
  • Develop detailed project plans, key objectives and milestones with progress tracking
  • Define tasks and required resources to manage project and required team members and subject matter experts
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and resources and external parties to execute projects under the portfolio
  • Manage and mitigate project risks to deliver on-time, within scope and budget
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Report portfolio status and escalate issues to senior management as appropriate. Arrange regular cadences with management and the project committees to provide updates and report on individual project status
  • Manage any changes to the project scope, timeline and budget
  • Coordinate the dependency management between different projects in the portfolio
  • Participate in global forums to create global alignment and standardizations as necessary with other regions
