Description:

Job Summary: Leads and directs the community to create and maintain a vibrant and engaging living environment for Wickshire residents and a great place to work for associates. Sets a leadership example for others to follow and oversees day to day business operations to ensure exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction and associate engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelors degree in business, geriatrics, health care, hospitality or a related field and a minimum of five years experience in a senior living, hospitality, health care or related setting; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  2. Minimum of seven years leadership experience in senior living and/or a multidisciplinary team environment; operations experience in a senior living, hospitality, or residential care environment strongly preferred.
    Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements: In communities with a health center, Nursing Home Administrator license strongly preferred. Maintain state licensing requirements, where applicable.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  1. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to connect and communicate effectively, in English, with diverse populations.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  3. Ability to analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources and to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  4. Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize, organize and manage multiple priorities.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to quickly master new software applications.
  7. Strong customer orientation to older adults.
  8. Compliance with state licensing requirements (where applicable)

Responsibilities:

  1. Assumes the responsibility for the design and development of recreation and activity programs to meet the assessed needs, interests, and capabilities of the Residents in the community.
  2. Attracts, retains, coaches, motivates and leads a high-performance management team who collectively direct day to day operations of the community; holds the team accountable for meeting performance objectives.
  3. Develops and monitors the communitys annual operating budget and business plan; leads the Director team in the execution of both, ensuring achievement of financial targets, quality standards, resident satisfaction and associate engagement.
  4. Serves as the Chief Sales Officer for the community; leads and directs activities of the sales team to ensure effective lead management, execution of the marketing plan and achievement of occupancy goals.
  5. Partners with Directors to ensure that service delivery in each department is consistent with Wickshire standards and applicable regulations.
  6. Establishes and maintains effective communication strategies throughout the community, ensuring timely and effective sharing of information and a culture of openness.
  7. Leads and participates in the planning and execution of effective orientation for new associates and ongoing learning and development of associates through in-services and other training programs.
  8. Participates in family and resident communications to ensure strong relationships and open exchange of information; holds staff accountable for proactive, positive communications with residents and their families.
  9. Establishes and implements safety protocols in the community; sets a strong example and holds associates accountable for practicing a culture of safety.
  10. Continuously monitors the building, grounds, and surrounding areas to ensure that the community is a safe, clean, attractive, and vibrant living environment for Wickshire residents and presents an exceptional impression for guests.
  11. Serves on special projects and assignments outside of his/her own community to support other communities or the broader portfolio.
  12. Stays abreast of trends and best practices throughout the senior living industry and of current events and conditions in the local market; keeps management appropriately informed.
  13. Oversees the effective operation of the health center, where applicable.
  14. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Wickshires mission policies, procedures and standards.
  15. Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  16. Completes all mandatory compliance, HIPAA and state and federal regulatory training as required.
  17. Maintains appropriate degree of confidentiality.
