(beckers-group.com) As such, the Executive - EHS role will play a critical part in delivering high-impact projects that support Beckers growth, quality and sustainability goals. Job Description The Executive - EHS will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a robust Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system across coil coating and paint manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Manager - EHS, this role will ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry best practices. The Executive - EHS will drive initiatives that foster a culture of safety, reduce operational risks, and minimize environmental impact while supporting continuous improvement in health, safety, and sustainability performance. Develop, implement, and maintain a robust EHS management system aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and compliance gaps. Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified issues. Oversee the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to prevent recurrence. Stay current with all applicable EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local ordinances. Ensure compliance with permit requirements, waste disposal regulations, and emergency response standards. Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation accurately and on time. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential hazards. Develop and implement effective control measures to mitigate identified risks. Participate in emergency response planning and training exercises. Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for employees at all levels. Foster a strong safety culture through continuous communication, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement. Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and refresher sessions to address specific workplace concerns. Implement initiatives to minimize waste generation and promote recycling. Monitor and control emissions and discharges to ensure compliance with environmental standards. Oversee the safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste. Promptly and thoroughly investigate all accidents, incidents, and near-misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Prepare accurate and timely reports for management review and regulatory submission. Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans. Organize and conduct regular emergency drills and training programs. Collaborate with local emergency response agencies to strengthen preparedness. Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities: Recognize and observe IMS policy Comply with integrated management system (IMS) policy to improve work process Comply and implement the controls required to mitigate the risks involved in the workplaces and surrounding areas. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, Strongly preferred in the Paint or chemical industry. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and sustain effective EHS programs. Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels. Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Professional certification in safety, health, or environmental disciplines (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is preferred. To be fit mentally and physically.
