Description
Responsibilities: 1. Execution of Routine / Preventive / Breakdown maintenance of port equipment. Working knowledge in Siemens PLC & Drives is desirable. 2. Routine inspections on equipment and corrective actions thereafter. 3. Attend breakdowns and fault diagnosis and correction on equipment. 4. Reporting of jobs after completion. 5. Undertake any specific task / responsibility assigned by SIC/Sr. Executives. 6. Assist the SIC/Sr. Executives in managing the shift when required. 7. Ensure that the company health, safety & environment policy and procedures are observed. 8. Report on any unsafe conditions in the Terminal or area of work. 9. Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of relevant objectives and targets. 10. Observe the provisions of IGT’s management system. 11. Housekeeping in workplace/Equipment 12. In the absence of SIC/Sr. Executive, take the responsibility of SIC/Sr. Executive when informed by higher authorities 13. Ensure, recording of the jobs, manpower and equipment status in the shift logbook. Verify job reports submitted by the shift staff 14. Ensure compliance and implementation: • OH&S Rules and Regulations. • Hazard and Risk Management • Accident Reports • IGT’s Standard Operating Procedures. • Work permits QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 1. BE/B. Tech in Electrical or Diploma in Electrical with relevant experience. 2. In case of BE/B. Tech, at least 3-8 years relevant experience in heavy lift equipment / container handling equipment / Heavy Industries, in the case of Diploma holders, at least 5-10 years of relevant experience.
