Executive - Engineering Job Summary This position plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant machinery and engineering systems. The role involves close coordination with production teams, hands-on support for machinery upkeep, and active participation in engineering improvement projects across the factory. Furthermore, selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring equipment performance, supporting maintenance planning, and contributing to technical initiatives that enhance operational excellence. The role demands strong analytical skills, the ability to respond quickly to breakdowns, and a commitment to maintaining high engineering standards. The main job functions of this position will include: * Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities. * Ensure minimum machine downtime and optimal equipment reliability. * Manage utilities such as compressed air, water, LPG, power, and HVAC systems. * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues in plant equipment. * Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and energy usage. * Lead Lean, Kaizen, or TPM initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. * Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. * Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability improvements. * Supervise and develop maintenance technicians and engineering staff. * Prepare regular maintenance reports, breakdown analyses, and cost summaries. The suitable candidate should possess: * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field in a reputed university in Sri Lanka. * Minimum 02 to 03 years hands on working experience in relevant field. * Familiarity with AutoCAD, PLC systems, and ERP (SAP) is an added advantage. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Auto Cad * Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings. * Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
