JOB TITLE: Executive Function/SPED Specialist (Part-time, Hourly, Remote) SALARY RANGE: Direct Service: $45 - $55 hr. Administrative: $30 - $35 hr. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Special Education Credential Preferred Masters, issued by a regionally accredited post-secondary institution in education, psychology, counseling, behavior analysis, behavior science, human development, social work, rehabilitation, or in a related field is desired. REQUIRED Experience: A minimum of three years of teaching and/or coaching experience. Passionate about leaving a positive impact on the world through their unique gifts Flexible and responsive as students and their needs change Focused on and willing to do what is best for the student and family A team player and willing to collaborate and work together to support EFS mission and goals Present, reliable, firm, and consistent with students and families Understanding of students' unique abilities and working with families at different stages Has experience working with kids in a teaching environment Engaged and loves to guide students through a process of transformation and growth JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE: Under general supervision, an Executive Function/SPED Specialist will perform direct client service; support students and families in developing skills and strategies to manage educational and vocational challenges; collaborate effectively with families using the family team meeting structure and process; engage in a continuous professional development cycle that includes receiving and applying feedback; effectively manage documentation of services and work; collaborate with other team members on the IEP process to facilitate successful outcomes for students Must have time flexibility to work with students, including a 4 hour window of time on the weekend. DIRECT SERVICE KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Approximately 75-90% of incumbents time worked shall include the Direct Service responsibilities below. Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Provides direct service to students/clients through weekly or biweekly remote meetings in the following areas: Behavior Intervention - Design or Planning, Implementation Specially Designed Vocational Education and Career Development Executive Function Coaching may include the following responsibilities: reading, understanding and analyzing SPED documents (assessments, IEPs, etc.); identify a client's executive function and behavioral challenges and their underlying academic issues; create a plan of support, with goals and metrics, for student in areas of need; maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and families, including text messages, emails, phone calls and online video meetings; monitor baseline level of performance and progress; etc. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Approximately 10-25% of the incumbent's time worked shall include the duties below. Examples of these duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Attends team meetings and collaborates with other specialists and leadership team members Develop collegial relationships with outside professionals to promote partnerships with school officials and outside agencies Provides mentorship, coaching and support as needed to other specialists, including collaborative meetings, as needed and directed by supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS KNOWLEDGE OF: Strong understanding and application of current research and findings in mild to moderate disabilities, emotional disabilities that may include emotional disturbance or mental health conditions, ADHD, executive functioning, gifted learning, special education including special education services, documentation procedures and assessment; and/or knowledge of behavior supports and intervention plans. ABILITY TO: Ability and desire to work as part of a professional interdisciplinary team Work on evenings and weekends to be responsive to parent and student availability.
