Fluency in English is mandatory. Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, laws and regulations relating to Technology & Fixed Services, with a deep understanding of the unique legal challenges faced by communications companies. An in-depth understanding of Fixed Services as well as Technology in the communications industry (including but not limited to Network Engineering, Access & Transport Engineering and Network Management) and demonstrable wide-ranging commercial experience. A good understanding of technical solutions and tools, and general knowledge of the tech industry. Tech-savviness and strategic foresight, developed through practice, to guide Vodacom effectively in an ever-evolving technological landscape. Highly developed decision-making, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Team player with strong negotiating/persuasive skills. Strategic thinking, analytical skills and attention to detail. A solutions-focused, engaging approach whilst maintaining a high degree of professionalism, ethics, and integrity. An agile (think on your feet and flexible around business priorities), hands-on professional with a strong sense of initiative, pro-activity and an investigative mind-set. Commercial acumen, customer focused and ability to understand trade-offs/balance between business risk and legal compliance. External perspective, i.e., anticipate market changes and recommend viable solutions. Proactive stakeholder engagement. Proactive awareness and communication of Fixed Services and Technology related developments within the telecommunications industry.
