POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing all aspects of the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry operations, and back-of-house cleanliness. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort are consistently maintained while managing resources efficiently and leading the housekeeping team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, laundry operations, and inventory control.
  • Proficient in MS Office and hotel PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
  • Ability to manage a large multicultural team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages such as Arabic, Hindi, or Tagalog are an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of housekeeping, laundry, and public area cleaning.
  • Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of all guest rooms, corridors, and public areas as per brand and hygiene standards.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping procedures, schedules, and checklists.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff; provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Manage inventory of linen, guest supplies, amenities, and cleaning materials.
  • Monitor and control departmental budgets, including labor costs, supply usage, and operational expenses.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations as per UAE municipality guidelines.
  • Handle guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments for smooth guest service delivery.
  • Prepare departmental reports and maintain proper records (lost & found, laundry logs, room status, etc.).
  • Coordinate deep cleaning and preventive maintenance schedules with relevant departments.
