Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary responsibility of the Shipboard Executive Housekeeper is to ensure guest satisfaction by delivering world class in-suite service with the highest standards of cleanliness which consistently and effectively reflects the luxurious nature of FSY. Overall responsibility for the cleanliness, maintenance and guest service in all guest suites and the cleanliness of public areas and crew areas.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in all guest suites, Officers and Crew cabins, and crew areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all indoor areas of the ship.
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of the ship laundry and linen room operation.
  • Ensure suites are ready to receive passengers prior to the start of each embarkation.
  • Ensure that daily inspection of guest suites and public spaces are carried out and that Company’s high standards of cleanliness and passenger service are maintained throughout the vessel.
  • Responsible for the distribution and proper storage of guest luggage and off loading at the end of the cruise.
  • Ensure that all staff are fully trained to the outlined company brand standards and sequence of service.
  • To include operational procedures (SOP), general ship and up to date voyage / cruise information.
  • Supervise the Laundry operation to ensure that that all laundry activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company standard.
  • Maintain current inventories of all items required for the proper fulfillment of assigned duties within the Housekeeping department. Ensure that all requisitions are closely monitored, and waste is minimized.
  • Ensure that all Housekeeping areas are properly staffed, equipped (up to required par levels) and set up; Maintain cleanliness and stocking of all pantries and lockers.
  • Report any maintenance issues.
  • Responsible to order replenishment stock of all items used in Housekeeping Dept.
  • Ensure monthly ship’s inventory of all uniforms, linen, and amenities are carried out.
  • Create Ship Inspection Report once a month from inspection with Senior Officers.
  • Supervise the Housekeeping Supervisor in a function to keep the flower and plants program well maintained throughout the vessel
  • Ensure that the Housekeeping team follows departmental procedures and company guidelines to provide consistency of service.  Conduct regular inspections of suites, public areas, crew cabins and crew areas.
  • Train, supervise and apply corrective actions regarding Public Health programs within the department.
  • Ensure periodic deep cleaning for all areas.
