  • Experience in physical security management, with familiarity with the Commonwealth’s Protective Security Policy Framework.
Responsibilities

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Ensure IP Australia is compliant with legislation, standards and legal requirements associated with the occupation and operation of IP Australia’s leased site in Melbourne
  • Effectively manage the outcomes of a small team responsible for providing facilities support services, procurement, site coordination and administration duties
  • Provide leadership and manage staff including identifying development opportunities, coaching and mentoring, and promoting a ‘service and operational excellence’ focused culture through building commitment to shared goals
  • Support the Director Property & Services in the management of building issues, service delivery performance monitoring and any other areas of oversight deemed necessary to assist in the remote management of the MIPO site
  • In consultation with the Director Property & Services, solve complex and sensitive issues/and or conflict relating to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the provision of site awareness training for IP Australia staff and visitors utilising the MIPO facility
  • Undertake contract management functions including contract relationship management and performance management of contracted services
  • Prepare complex and/or sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, reports, submissions, papers and undertake records management in line with policy
  • Provide expert program, service or policy interpretation to ensure a high level of customer service
  • Ensure information resources e.g. procedures, processes and reference documents are current and fit for purpose and are stored in line with IP Australia current protocols and records management policy
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of any IP Australia owned plant and equipment
  • Contribute to section planning activities.
