JOB SPECIFIC CAPABILITIES

The right person for this role will:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, guiding technical and project teams towards architecturally sound decision making
  • Employ an agile mindset and collaborative approach in delivering Agency outcomes
  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in the Agency, establishing and nurturing networks by valuing individual differences and diversity
  • 2+ years of experience with solution architecture and/or experience in the design & delivery of complex systems in an enterprise environment
  • Ability to explain or translate complex findings to a range of business and technical stakeholders. Communication, negotiation and liaison skills of a high order
  • Ability to develop concise detailed system, data, user, interaction diagrams and associated documentation
  • A demonstrable passion for learning and a dedication to working collaboratively
  • Respond proactively to feedback. Be willing to develop and apply new skills while adapting to changing demand
  • Engage professionally with risk and challenge the status quo to facilitate achievement of strategic outcome
  • Align technical decisions with broader business strategies. The candidate should envision solutions that not only solve the immediate challenges but also contribute to achieving the long-term strategic outcomes
  • Knowledge of architecture concepts, methodologies and techniques.

The following knowledge will be considered highly desirable:

  • Deep architectural knowledge: A robust understanding of architectural principles, patterns and frameworks, accompanied by practical experience in their implementation
  • The Essential 8: The candidate should understand the ACSC’s Essential 8 mitigation strategies.
