  • Deep expertise in transactional conflicts management, with the ability to advise on complex deal structures and escalate risks with sound commercial judgement.
  • Strategic relationship-building skills, enabling you to influence senior stakeholders and embed conflict awareness across diverse business units.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in Excel and a talent for turning conflict data into actionable insights and reporting.
  • Agility and resilience, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory landscape while maintaining clarity and focus under pressure.
  • Proactive leadership, with a passion for education and uplift—delivering training, maintaining tools, and driving continuous improvement in conflict management practices.

Responsibilities

You’ll be stepping into a pivotal role where your strategic thinking and conflict management expertise will shape how Westpac navigates complex organisational challenges. Based in Sydney, this full-time position places you at the centre of our compliance and governance efforts, working across teams to identify, assess, and manage conflicts of interest—especially in transactional deals, research, and information barriers.
You’ll be a trusted advisor, a change-maker, and a key voice in governance forums, helping us stay ahead of regulatory expectations while fostering a culture of transparency and integrity.
