We’re seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our operations division as Executive Manager – Safety & Mobility Risk. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and embedding a best-in-class safety, risk and injury management strategy across a large, complex organisation. The Opportunity Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving a safety-first culture across the enterprise, ensuring the safety of employees, members and the wider community remain the number one priority. You’ll work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board to deliver strong governance, influence decision-making, and provide assurance that safety systems, frameworks and practices are effective, compliant and continuously improving. What You’ll Do Lead and embed the enterprise-wide health, safety and injury management strategy Provide expert advice to the CEO, Executive and Board on safety risks, trends and performance Drive a high-performance safety culture across diverse operational environments Oversee safety, injury management, and return-to-work programs to minimise harm and improve outcomes Lead risk oversight across COO functions, ensuring effective governance and compliance Partner with senior leaders to align safety and risk practices with strategic and operational goals Act as the key interface with regulators, insurers, unions, and external stakeholders Deliver robust reporting, insights and assurance to support informed decision-making About You You’re an influential and commercially minded executive with a strong track record in safety and risk leadership. You thrive in complex environments and bring the credibility to operate confidently at Board level. You will bring: Proven experience leading health, safety, and risk functions at scale Strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and compliance frameworks Experience developing and implementing contemporary safety management systems Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cultural change Strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into practical outcomes Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Occupational Health & Safety) Extensive experience in a similar leadership role Why join RACQ?
