We are seeking an experienced Executive Manager to lead the Office of the Vice Chancellor and support the Vice Chancellor (VC) to deliver strategic priorities across the University. Te mahi | The role This is a senior, trust-based role at the centre of the University, suited to someone who is comfortable operating across strategy, governance and day to day delivery. Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor, you will provide high level coordination, advice and oversight to support effective leadership and decision making. You will contribute to the delivery of agreed priorities, support the effective functioning of the Senior Leadership Team, and ensure governance, reporting and key stakeholder engagements are well managed. You will also lead a small team, ensuring the Office of the Vice Chancellor operates with efficiency, professionalism and impact. Kā pūkeka me kā wheako | Your skills and experience You will bring: • Experience in a leadership, advisory or coordination role within a university or a similarly complex organisation. • A strong understanding of governance processes and executive level reporting. • Proven ability to work closely with senior leaders and drive delivery of priorities. • Strong relationship management and influencing skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • High levels of integrity, discretion and judgement. • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to Otago’s bicultural aspirations. Pūroko | Further details This is a full time (1.0 FTE), permanent position, based in Ōtepoti Dunedin. The University is offering a remuneration level commensurate with the responsibilities of the position. The salary level for this position is currently being evaluated.
