SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS ACADEMY OF MUSIC The Academy presents the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity (JC3) Project, a new initiative designed to ignite creativity and innovation across the university and the wider community. At the core of the project is the JC3 Creative Hub, a dynamic platform that emphasise industry-higher education collaboration and cross-disciplinary partnerships, leveraging the potential of music-tech, EdTech, art-tech, tech-transfer and interdisciplinary learning. With a strong emphasis on cross-cultural studies and research in creativity and pedagogy, the Creative Hub is at the forefront of enhancing educational experiences and cultivating a vibrant creative ecosystem in Hong Kong. The Academy is inviting applications for a position to focus on the project namely ‘Pioneering Art-Tech for Mindful Moments: Co-Creating Through Interactive Audio & Sound Design’, funded by the Gifted Education Fund of the Hong Kong Education Bureau. This is a 9-month off-school advanced learning programme. The programme aims to empower gifted secondary students through interactive audio, sound design, physical computing, and wellbeing initiatives. Enrolled students will learn professional music technology tools and creative coding to create interactive installations showcased at a culminating public event. Executive Officer (Creative Hub) (25260437) Responsibilities: Responsible for the comprehensive coordination, logistical execution, and administrative oversight of designated Off-School Advanced Learning Programmes; Prepare and compile questionnaires, programme and financial reports throughout the programme period; Serve as the primary contact person to engage key stakeholders, including instructors, students, helpers and educational partners; Develop and design marketing collaterals to drive programme awareness and enrollment, including the preparation of learning materials, presentations, and related documentations; Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting to students during the programme; and Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Creative Technology, Music Technology, Interactive Design, Digital Media, Visual Design, or related field; A minimum of 3 years of experience in coordinating educational programmes or similar activities, and working with youth/students in creative technology contexts; Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin); Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite or any related design software; Demonstrated ability to work independently with high level of self-motivation and accountability; and Preference will be given to those with: a) Hands-on knowledge in Ableton Live, Max/MSP, TouchDesigner, Arduino/physical computing, or similar interactive audio/creative coding platforms; b) Experience in sound art, interactive installation, or electronic music; spatial audio, sensors, or audiovisual performance systems; c) Understanding of pedagogical approaches for gifted education. Addition Information: Appointee is required to work on Saturdays and Sundays when necessary. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of 9 months. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to the availability of funding. Preference will be given to those who are immediately available.
