YOUR ROLE
The District Court of New South Wales is the intermediate court in the State’s judicial hierarchy. It is a trial court and presides over serious criminal offences, appeals from lower courts and civil proceedings. The Court sits for 48 weeks per year at a number of full-time locations throughout New South Wales.
The Executive Officer leads and manages the operations of the District Court’s executive office, ensuring the efficient, effective, and timely delivery of high-quality executive support services to the Chief Judge, District Court Judges and other judicial officers across the state.
It is a requirement that the successful applicant will work primarily in person from Sydney District Court at 86 Goulburn Street, Sydney.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The role actively contributes to the development and implementation of strategies, policies, protocols and procedures to support the operational management of Court Services and the Executive Office of the Head of Jurisdiction.
You will manage the operations of the Executive Office including human, physical and financial resources ensuring a high level of service is provided.
You will influence strategic change within the Executive Office to improve client service quality, streamline procedures and policies, reduce costs, and strengthen outcomes across the justice system.
