Communications and Public Relations Office Executive Officer I (carrying the job title of ‘Senior Content Officer') The appointee will be responsible for (a) supporting the University’s Communications and Public Relations Office (CPRO) to drive content creation in alignment with the University’s priorities; (b) overseeing the co-ordination of content generation within CPRO to maximize synergy in storytelling and enhance the content reserve; (c) writing, sub-editing and proofreading various articles and reports to ensure strong message delivery; (d) liaising with internal and external stakeholders in effective content delivery; (e) performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a Master’s Degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 12 years’ post-qualification editorial experience in media and/or publication; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) excellent communication skills to work with multi-stakeholders; and (vi) knowledge of the higher education and public sector in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland. Having knowledge of and/or experience in Journalism, Communication or Social Science disciplines is preferred. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test in both Chinese and English. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
