The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care Executive Officer I The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care of CUHK is a leading school of public health in the Asia-Pacific region, committed to excellence in education and research in public health and family medicine that impact on society and the profession, with an extensive international partner network. The appointee will work closely with programme directors and senior administration to provide strategic leadership and ensure the effective management, development, and enhancement of the School’s self-financed programmes. Duties include (a) providing leadership and direct line supervision to the self-financed programme team; (b) overseeing the management and delivery of self-financed programmes (including Taught Postgraduate and professional programmes) and seminars; (c) leading the strategic planning, development, marketing, and promotion of programmes, courses, and student/alumni engagement activities; (d) supervising student support services and providing administrative and secretarial support to programme directors and academic divisions; (e) managing budget planning, financial monitoring, and reporting for self-financed programmes; and (f) performing committee work and other tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 8 years’ post-qualification executive experience, preferably at tertiary institutions; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills; (vi) strong adaptability and leadership; (vii) the ability to work independently under tight deadlines and pressure; (viii) an outgoing, positive and can-do work attitude; and (ix) a high level of computer literacy. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
