Description
Communications and Public Relations Office Executive Officer II (carrying the job title of ‘Content Officer’) The appointee will be responsible for (a) supporting the Communications and Public Relations Office (CPRO) to liaise with various units of the University, including Faculties and Colleges, on content creation and publicity for CUHK; (b) co-ordinating content generated within the CPRO to maximize synergy on storytelling and enhance the content reserve; (c) writing, translating, sub-editing, and proofreading various articles and reports to ensure language consistency; (d) co-ordinating CUHK’s news and content, including websites and printed publications; and (e) performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a Master’s Degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 10 years’ post-qualification editorial experience; (iv) excellent storytelling and writing skills in English and Chinese; and (v) excellent communication and coordination skills to work with multi-stakeholders. Having knowledge of and/or experience in Journalism, Communications, Humanities, or Social Science disciplines is preferred. Having good proficiency in Putonghua will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test in both English and Chinese. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
