Office of Co-operative Education Programme Executive Officer II/ Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of ‘Manager/ Assistant Manager’), Career Services CUHK’s Co-operative Education Programme (Co-op@CUHK) is an innovative education programme to strengthen undergraduate students’ commercial acumen and essential skill-sets by combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. The Office of Co-operative Education Programme is looking for a capable candidate for the Career Services Team to provide support for external outreach and career planning & development programmes. Duties include (a) serving as the primary liaison between different stakeholders, including employers and students, exploring and developing new placement opportunities, aligning with strategic targets, and increasing diversity from various employers hire; (b) developing career development programmes, shaping and executing career plans and external outreach, such as company visits, career talks and other career enrichment activities; (c) handling student career development and placement progress, providing career advising support to students on job search process; (d) monitoring the student placement progress, following up closely with employers and students in the entire job application, selection, interview, and offer process; (e) independently leading and organizing meetings and events for employers, students, and alumni, overseeing all aspects of event planning, promotion and logistics coordination; and (f) undertaking other duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours and occasional business travel will be required. Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 5 years’ full-time professional executive experience; (iv) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) competency in computer/IT applications; (vi) excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; (vii) a strong sense of responsibility and a committed work attitude; (viii) strong organisational skill; and (ix) self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as a team member, under pressure and multitask under tight deadlines. Having experience in external outreach, human resources, and/or recruitment agencies would be an advantage. Applicants who do not fulfil (ii) and (iii) on the above may be considered for appointment as Project Co-ordinator II.
