Description
Department of Medicine and Therapeutics Executive Officer II The Department of Medicine and Therapeutics is currently seeking a motivated and versatile Executive Officer II with strong leadership skills, a high sense of responsibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset to join the team. The appointee will be based at the CUHK office within the Prince of Wales Hospital premises. The appointee will lead a small team and be responsible for (a) managing the admission process and programme administration for research postgraduate programmes, and coordinating with the internal offices for matters related to the Graduate Division of Medical Sciences; (b) serving as the department’s liaison for research administration matters; (c) organising lectures and small-group academic activities occasionally; (d) initiating and implementing new processes to ensure operational efficiency and relevance; (e) motivating and mobilising team members to support clinical exams and achieve departmental goals; (f) supervising team members to provide secretarial support to clinical professoriate staff; and (g) performing other tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 6 years’ relevant post-qualification executive experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role; (iv) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; (v) a mature work attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills; (vi) excellent analytical and organisational skills with attention to details; (vii) the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and (viii) proficient computer skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
