Description
Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering Executive Officer II The appointee will be responsible for providing a wide spectrum of executive support to the Chairperson and the Department in various aspects, including (a) office administration, financial and personal management; (b) secretarial support to committees and meetings; (c) administrative matters of academic programmes; (d) student affairs management; (e) staff supervision; (f) liaison work with the University’s departments/units and external parties; and (g) ad-hoc or other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 5 years' post-qualification executive experience, preferably at tertiary institutions; (iv) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) strong analytical, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills; (vi) proficiency in computer applications; (vii) the ability to work independently and under pressure; and (viii) a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, and high self-motivation. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
