  • a postgraduate qualification in business administration or related field with relevant experience in business administration and/or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
  • demonstrated experience in the supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff; and experience managing and resolving a diverse range of HR issues
  • the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
  • excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills together with high level of tact, diplomacy and discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • demonstrated ability to translate and implement strategic changes into local operational practices that enhance the work area’s administrative function
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.

Responsibilities

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE REQUIRING A MINIMUM OF FOUR DAYS PER WEEK WORKING ON CAMPUS.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • initiate and manage the implementation of operational plans and policy
  • ensure compliance with University research, student, ethics and external legislative/regulatory policies and procedures
  • provide effective general management of operational and administrative systems, processes and programs to meet these requirements in alignment with University research, education, internal school communications, and legislative/regulatory requirements
  • ensure a safe working environment for all staff and students
