Description

Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations Berkeley, Bradwell, Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa, and research sites Harwell and Winfrith. NRS is also responsible for electricity generation at hydroelectric plant Maentwrog. As a division of NRS, NRS Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.

About the role

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A-Level or equivalent (or appropriate ‘on the job’ experience) (Essential)
  • Computer literacy qualification, including RSA stage III typing and shorthand. (Desirable)
  • Experience of providing PA support at director level, within a large, complex organisation with a range of external agencies. (Essential)
  • Considerable knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, E rooms, and PowerPoint. (Essential)
  • Ability to manage workload autonomously. (Essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills. (Essential)
  • Flexible attitude and ability to cope with conflicting priorities under pressure. (Essential)
  • Proven organisational and time management skills, together with the ability to solve problems creatively, but in a logical manner. (Essential)
  • A knowledge of the organisational structure of NRS, of the way it is designed to operate and administered. (Desirable)
  • Experience of working within the nuclear industry. (Desirable)
    This role will be based at the NRS Bristol Hub.
