About the role Are you a visionary pastry leader with a passion for creating world-class desserts? Join our award-winning luxury resort, renowned for its multiple restaurants, lounges, and large conference & banquet venues, as our Executive Pastry Chef. As Executive Pastry Chef, you will oversee the pastry and bakery operations across all outlets, including fine dining restaurants, casual venues, and large-scale banqueting events. You will lead a talented team in crafting innovative, high-quality desserts, breads, and showpieces that delight guests and enhance our reputation for excellence. Your Daily Recipe for Success Lead, mentor, and inspire the pastry and bakery team to deliver exceptional quality and consistency. Develop and execute creative dessert menus, buffet presentations, and banquet offerings aligned with the resort’s luxury standards. Oversee production for multiple outlets, in-room dining, and large-scale conferences and banquets. Manage food cost, inventory control, and operational efficiency within the pastry division. Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and HACCP standards. Collaborate with Executive Chef and Food & Beverage leadership to elevate guest experiences. Train and develop team members, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and growth. What we need from you At least 5 years of experience as Executive Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or resort environment. Mandatory certifications include Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is essential Expertise in modern pastry techniques, artisan breads, chocolate, and plated desserts. Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalize our Guests stay and provide your local wisdom to enhance their experience Ongoing availability to work flexibly as rostered, including nights, weekends and public holidays Physical fitness as you’ll be on your feet most of the day.
