The Programmatic Trading team sits at the heart of all digital activity and is pivotal to the success of each campaign that is executed. You will work closely with all other teams within the WPP Media family to drive programmatic planning, execution, analysis and insights. In this role it will be critical to embrace WPP & WPP Media’s shared core values: Be Extraordinary by Leading Collectively to Inspire transformational Creativity Create an Open environment by Balancing People and Client Experiences by Cultivating Trust Lead Optimistically by Championing Growth and Development to Mobilize the Enterprise Responsibilities of the Role Handling platforms like Display & Video 360 (ex-DBM), Campaign Manager (ex-DCM), The Trade Desk, Xandr, Google Analytics etc. Understanding of Programmatic Buying, including DSPs/SSPs, RTB, ad exchanges, DMPs, audience targeting Expertise in managing performance-driven clients to drive ecommerce sales Manage your workflow and responses to ensure agreed deadlines are met, service level agreements are fulfilled, and tasks are executed with 100% accuracy Review the campaign brief and generate programmatic media plans to deliver client objectives Minimum Qualifications 1–2 years professional experience with digital media, preferably within a media agency or publisher trading desk Hands-on experience and knowledge in programmatic optimisation Experience in campaign implementation, optimization and reporting Understanding of Adserver, DSPs/SSPs, RTB, ad exchanges, DMPs, audience targeting, Brand Safety, Viewability, Ad fraud Competent in all Microsoft Office software Highly organized with strong attention to detail Demonstrated problem-solving skills, financial and numerical astuteness What Your Job Looks Like Ensure accurate planning and implementation of all campaigns in DSP platforms Proactively request and implement all necessary trafficking and campaign tracking requirements Ensure tools are in place to provide accurate and detailed campaign reporting and feedback Proactively analyze delivery data across channels to identify optimization opportunities to deliver client objectives Focus on first-identity optimization levers (audience, supply source, temporal, frequency, target, geo, creative copy, etc.) Understand the consequences of optimization levers and have expertise in pulling them Regular WIP meetings and sharing of campaign performance Provide regular campaign reports with insights to influence planning and buying decisions Respond to ad-hoc campaign feedback requests Campaign Management Responsibilities Undertake campaign setup for all campaigns within your portfolio Troubleshoot tracking and discrepancy queries Ensure campaigns are activated accurately and follow best practices Monitor campaign success through Google Analytics, DSP UIs, and automation dashboards Manage campaign budgets, daily spend levels, and tracking toward performance goals Analyze ongoing results to identify trends and key insights Provide thoughtful recommendations to exceed client goals Demonstrate strong knowledge of the programmatic/performance ecosystem Demonstrate strong fundamentals of Brand Safety, Viewability, and Ad fraud Execute various types of programmatic deal types Work closely with line managers to manage markets and support day-to-day campaign management Build strong working relationships with team, market teams, and client teams Deliver success across briefing, booking, setup, optimization, and reporting Measures of Success In Three Months: Strong understanding of client brands and products Understanding of platforms and systems powering digital media Gained certifications on major programmatic platforms Developed relationships and trust with internal and client teams In Six Months: Become a trusted advisor and partner to clients and market teams Provide optimization suggestions and collaborate with the Programmatic Director Oversee effective and accurate campaign optimizations and delivery In 12 Months: Develop knowledge of additional online products and strategies Identify gaps, processes, and tools to improve campaign performance and efficiency Become a trusted advisor to client teams Life at WPP Media & Benefits Our passion for shaping the next era of media includes investing in our employees to help them do their best work.
