Executive - Planning (Based at Bodyline – Horana ) Bodyline is a joint venture between MAS Holdings, Triumph International Germany and Mast Industries USA, offering apparel solutions from concept to delivery. Bodyline specializes in producing fitted garments and superior next-to-skin performance wear; and is the go-to vendor for bra innovations. The company has evolved from making simple minimalist styles for a single customer to multiple styles and silhouettes across product categories for global brands. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to carry out the Central Planning role in the manufacturing plant by supporting the Value Stream Planner and overseeing all planning-related functions in the designated manufacturing facility to optimize capacity utilization at the set performance levels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implement methods to monitor and adhere to capacity plans and facilitate the optimization of production efficiencies/ plant capacity by moderating variances in products to minimize changeovers and interruptions to continuous flow thus meeting or exceeding the plant budgeted standard Hours. Oversee all planning-related activities in the plant and ensure that the resources, capacity, machinery, etc., are optimally utilized. Make timely decisions to resolve disruptions in the process whilst coordinating with relevant teams to ensure that the manufacturing plans are feasible and aligned to customer and organizational objectives. Conduct the daily Plant Operation Meeting and get the required attention from the team in driving towards a conclusion of issues raised and managing the total agenda within the given timelines. Take the ownership in resolving daily critical issues and follow-up with the respective departments. Proactively identify potential issues related to running and upcoming orders in terms of raw material flow, cutting, embellishments, resources, etc. and take corrective actions to mitigate such interruptions. Initiate Risk-Analysis meetings for upcoming new styles and identify the bottlenecks in operation and resources constraints while drawing the attention of other stakeholders to potential roadblocks. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Degree in Engineering / Mathematics or Applied Science from a recognized university. CIMA qualification would be an added advantage. 1- 2 years of relevant experience in the apparel industry. Good analytical and presentation skills. Very good communication skills in both English & Sinhala.
