Executive - Procurement (Based at Horana) The Bodywear Value Stream of MAS Holdings delivers end-to-end design, innovation and manufacturing solutions across lingerie, swimwear and next-to-skin categories. Embark on a journey of change with MAS, Ensure right quality material is available on time at the best possible price to ensure on time garment delivery through Follow-up on order placement, ensuring material available for loading freeze plan, follow up on rejections & liabilities, as well as on time payments for suppliers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES On-time placement of purchase orders for right material, quantity for right price to right supplier. Also make sure purchase values do not exceed the costed raw material value of the order. In house excess stock allocation first in first out basis before placing an order with supplier. Ensure that the purchase order is released by the Finance Executive prior to passing onto the supplier through the portal. Ensure that supplier order confirmations are done within 48 hours and also check against the Purchase Order. Negotiate to convert suppliers who request for advance payments to credit term and to reduce supplier tolerance levels. Get supplier order confirmations on time and update (AB/ET) in system. All suppliers who have been mapped to the portal should be communicated on order confirmations through portal. Carry out weekly supplier status check, whilst following up on Lab Dip/Bulk Submission approvals and Test Reports. Strive to use sea mode for transportation even if it is costed by air. In the event of a rejection, follow up with the supplier to get down replacement or to claim back the cost from supplier. Analyze the write off and submit for finance within the given timelines. Take initiatives to reduce cost of Bodyline write offs. Follow up on Supplier cost recoveries and ensure that company does not absorb any additional cost due to external issues. Adhere to the Standard operating procedures (SOP) in all relevant activities. Have a thorough knowledge about MAS Operating System and ensure that MOS principles are adhered to in the day today operation. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Graduated in bachelor's degree in business Manager/Supply Chain or Logistics. 2-3 years’ relevant experience Knowledge on apparel manufacturing Negotiation skills Knowledge in SAP will be added advantage.
