Job Description
Step into a key leadership role at 6PR as the Executive Producer of Perth Today. You’ll be at the heart of our content creation, guiding the program’s direction and fostering the talent of our Associate Producer within our collaborative content team. This is your chance to make a significant mark on Perth’s airwaves.

Day to day you will:

  • Drive Content Strategy. Shape and execute high-impact content for Perth Today (9 am - 1 pm).
  • Lead Editorial Vision & Oversee all content from concept to edit ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage Live Broadcasts. Seamlessly handle live callers and on-air contributions.
  • Collaborate & Integrate. Partner with sales, promotions, news, and digital teams for content and commercial opportunities.
  • Thrive Under Pressure. Lead effectively, communicate clearly, and maintain key industry contacts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive Producing Experience. Proven background in broadcast or news media, with a track record of leading and mentoring teams.
  • News & Media Law Expertise. A deep understanding of news, current affairs, sports, and media law.
  • Exceptional Communication. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and broadcast writing skills.
  • Relevant Qualifications. A tertiary qualification in Media, Journalism, or a related field (desirable).
  • Leadership & Mentorship. The ability to effectively lead and develop team members within a dynamic media environment.
