Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Executive Producer to lead the strategic planning and execution of complex, large-scale events. This role is responsible for overseeing budgets, managing client relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration of technical production. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and hands-on operator who can balance financial rigor, production excellence, and operational precision. Travel – 30% / 100 days a year Key Responsibilities Event Leadership & Delivery Lead end-to-end production of large-scale events (conferences, product launches, brand experiences) Ensure seamless execution from concept through post-event wrap-up Drive high standards of quality, creativity, and client satisfaction Budget & Financial Management Own and manage multi-million dollar event budgets Develop and maintain detailed financial plans, forecasts, and reconciliations Identify cost efficiencies while protecting experience quality Ensure profitability and financial accountability across projects Vendor & Technical Production Management Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and management across all production partners Collaborate closely with Technical Directors to ensure alignment on production strategy, scope, and execution Lead integration of creative, technical, and experiential elements into cohesive event delivery Manage on-site production teams, including AV crews, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and high-quality execution Oversee show flow development, on-site team dynamics, and technical rehearsals to ensure flawless delivery Client Management Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships Lead strategic conversations and guide clients through decision-making Anticipate client needs and proactively solve challenges Team Leadership & Management Lead and mentor a team, including direct reports (Producers, APs, Coordinators) Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment Provide coaching, feedback, and career development support Allocate resources effectively across projects Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with creative, account, and operations teams to bring ideas to life Align stakeholders around timelines, budgets, and deliverables Ensure clear communication across internal and external teams Qualifications 8–12+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or related field Proven track record leading large-scale, complex events Strong financial acumen and experience managing substantial budgets Demonstrated success managing clients at a senior level Experience leading teams and managing direct reports Deep understanding of technical production, AV, and live event execution Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Preferred Experience Agency experience (especially B2B or corporate events) Experience working with global clients and distributed teams Familiarity with sustainability considerations in event production What Success Looks Like Events delivered on time, on budget, and above client expectations Strong client retention and growth High-performing, engaged team Consistent profitability across projects What You'll Get Competitive compensation including annual bonus Comprehensive healthcare: Medical, Dental, Vision Retirement 401(k) Plans Health savings account Paid time off, tiered based on tenure Remote/hybrid-friendly team with a headquarters office in Chicago Caring and nurturing team culture Strong industry connections and exposure A team that prioritizes internal relationships and team building A team where curiosity and creativity are welcomed and encouraged Equal Employment Opportunity Statement August Jackson is an equal opportunity employer.
