Description

Executive – Product Development Based at Silueta, Biyagama To ensure the timely and accurate development, maintenance, and optimization of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Technical Packages within the SAP system, supporting seamless production execution and material planning. The role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional information, driving product and packaging improvements, maintaining cost efficiencies, and ensuring accurate technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: * Observe development process done by Development Engineer and identify/verify/clarify all related information. * Do calculations for the Raw Materials related to the styles and prepare reference summary for each new style. * Communicate with other departments to gather additional relevant information and create Bill of Materials using SAP system according to the direction given from Marketing team. * Prepare Technical Package containing all information about every new style and hand over to the Technical Team at the meeting. * Checking BOMs and Technical Packages before giving them to production to maintain 100% accuracy of information to ensure smooth functioning of the bulk production. * Attend the production TLT, Integration, Mini Bulk, Pilot and Appraisal/Review meetings with technical package. * Coordinate with Production Technical Team at pilot stage of new styles and make adjustment for the bulk production BOMs & Technical Packages and ensure Raw Material availability for smooth production continuity. Knowledge and Skills: * Degree in Engineering, Science, Textile Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 4 years of experience in Product Development, BOM Management, Production Development, or a similar technical role. * Experience in manufacturing, apparel, footwear, or related industries. * Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems. * Understanding of BOM management, material consumption calculations, and production processes. * Knowledge of packaging development and cost optimization techniques. * Familiarity with product development, lifecycle and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Technical Packages within the SAP system. Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate technical documentation and material availability for seamless bulk production.
