Executive ‐ Product Engineering (Based at MAS Bodywear – Horana) The Bodywear Value Stream of MAS Holdings delivers end-to-end design, innovation and manufacturing solutions across lingerie, swimwear and next-to-skin categories. Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS as we are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join the team as an Executive ‐ Product Engineering. This role will enable you to ensure the feasibility of production by early engagement with development teams to minimize production risk, providing technical solutions and identify the Critical to process (CTP) and Critical to quality (CTQ)s to facilitate a smooth manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities * Identify the risk areas such as material and method risks are being identified and mitigated before transferring to Production by liaising with the respective customer technical Integration team. * Evaluate new styles in terms of patterns, seams, stitches, methods etc, prior to FIT approval to maximize design for manufacturability. * Provide proactive feedback and direction on potential technical (pattern & method) issues prior to bulk, so as to ensure smooth bulk operation. * Ensure the effective technical resource allocation within the integration teams, so as to utilize the team’s technical expertise in the best possible way to guarantee the effectiveness of factory integration. * Ensure all the critical path activities such as parameter finalization (bonding, molding and heat transfer), sample sewing for required sizes, methods validation, pattern alternations are completed on time to minimize the bucket loss during the factory integration process. * Validate the accuracy of BOM, material, accessories and cut parts during the NPI process, so as to maximize production feasibility. * Re-evaluate STWs to simplify methods to ensure higher quality and output levels. * Identify constructions/ critical areas and simplify/ improve operations of new styles, and coordinate with operational team in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. * Provide directions on method changes & pattern changes to the Group leaders and identify the training requirements and communicate to relevant teams. Qualifications * Degree/ Diploma in Engineering/ Sciences/ Sewing technology/ Quality management. * 2-3 years of relevant work experience. * Comprehensive technical knowledge in apparel manufacturing. * Sound communication skills
