Description
See Yourself in our Team You’ll join Customer Channels and Data within Business Bank, working in the CRM Workbench Crew. The Crew is building an AI-enabled platform that is reshaping relationship management into a hybrid-agentic model, giving frontline teams greater capacity to focus on the interactions that matter most. It is a significant opportunity to shape the core platform that underpins reliability, speed, security and scale across Banker Workbench. Do Work that Matters As Executive Product Owner for Workbench Platform, you will define and lead the product strategy for the foundational platform capabilities that enable Banker Workbench to scale visibly and safely across Business Banking. This includes reliability, DevSecOps, observability, feature flagging and scale engineering. You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, architecture, security and operations to build a platform that is trusted by both frontline users and contributing product teams. This is a role for someone who can translate deep technical complexity into clear priorities, make sound trade-offs at scale, and lead a platform product that improves engineering velocity while strengthening resilience and control. What you’ll do Define and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Workbench Platform, aligned to Crew objectives and Business Banking priorities. Lead the platform strategy across reliability, DevSecOps, observability, feature management, release controls and scale engineering. Shape a modern platform product that improves service resilience, delivery speed and operational transparency for Banker Workbench and its dependent squads. Drive platform lifecycle management end to end, including discovery, prioritisation, release coordination, production readiness and continuous optimisation. Partner with engineering and architecture teams on distributed systems, event-driven design, durable state, Kubernetes-based platforms and multi-environment delivery patterns. Lead decisions on CI/CD, pipeline-as-code, staged rollout approaches, feature flags, rollback disciplines and deployment governance. Embed security-by-design practices across the software lifecycle, including supply chain protections, secrets management, runtime policy controls and compliance obligations. Ensure observability, service health, telemetry and incident readiness are treated as product capabilities, not afterthoughts. Manage risks, dependencies and escalations across Business, Technology, Infrastructure, Security and support units to align priorities and delivery commitments. Maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog that delivers measurable customer, engineer and business outcomes. What you bring Significant experience as a senior or executive-level Product Owner in large, complex organisations. Proven success leading platform, infrastructure or deeply technical products that span multiple domains, teams or business units. Strong product leadership in platform environments, with the ability to translate architecture, engineering and operational complexity into clear priorities and trade-offs. Experience working with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, infrastructure-as-code and production platform design. Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, staged release management, delivery governance and modern software lifecycle practices. Experience shaping products that require high reliability, observability, resilience, auditability and operational scale. Credibility partnering with engineering, security, infrastructure and architecture leaders on platform strategy and technical direction. Strong understanding of regulatory, risk and control environments, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders across business, technology and operations. Commercial awareness, including the ability to balance platform investment, delivery velocity, cloud cost and long-term engineering health.
