JOB SUMMARY

The Engineering, Manufacturing, and Building Arts (EMBA) Department is seeking an Academic Program Director who supervises faculty and programs that focus on: Digital Design, Manufacturing and Mechatronics, and Building Arts. Those faculty members teach AS programs, Building Construction and Engineering Technology housed at the Clearwater campus. The Program Director also supervises faculty and programmatic focusses in: Biomedical Engineering Technology (Repair) and Engineering at the Tarpon Springs campus. Currently, the EMBA program has a vacancy for a new Construction Management BS Faculty position (slated to start Fall 2026) which will be housed at the Midtown Center. The EMBA Department is seeking an innovative visionary leader who will support the existing programs while focusing on ways grow the profession in the academic field and at SPC. As such, there are future plans to expand Advanced Manufacturing programs with courses such as Semiconductor, Clean room technology at this location with building construction in progress now.

The EMBA Department is seeking:

  • A strong candidate who will have direct working knowledge over Engineering Technology fields such as Design, Semiconductors, Clean Room, and Advanced Manufacturing.
  • The candidate who must be able to teach courses in at least one the academic disciplines they supervise. The candidate must have a Masters in Construction Management, Engineering, Digital Design or a related field.
  • A strong candidate who has 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • A strong candidate who will have direct working knowledge with grant project management.
  • A candidate who has work experience in industry.
  • A candidate who will serve as liaison between stakeholders, partners, community organizations and college administration
  • A candidate who will perform administrative functions such as faculty and staff supervision.
  • A candidate who must be willing to serve as the administrator of SPC advisory boards for each academic area they supervise.
  • A candidate who will be responsible for conducting needs assessments, quarterly & annual reporting, analysis, and data collection
  • A candidate who will work to cultivate a culture of collaboration and engagement.
  • A candidate who will be directly responsible for recruitment material and publications in their academic area

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in a field related to assigned area (higher education may be required for certain areas); five (5) years of related work experience including management experience in assigned area; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $100,009.21 - $121,261.16 per year
