Description

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Headquartered in Singapore, they are a privately funded and non-profit organisation founded on
the belief that good governments are the foundation of flourishing, prosperous communities and
nations. They support governments globally to develop capabilities, doing so through training
programmes, governments projects and partnerships, and knowledge creation.
They are practitioner focused and internationally oriented. They are managed by former public
service leaders from across the world and draw upon a wealth of practitioner experience and
knowledge from our global network of experts. They have worked with governments in countries
that span three continents, including Costa Rica, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, India, the Philippines,
Singapore and Vietnam.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • An ideal candidate for the Executive role would have had 2-3 years of work experience in the public service (whether in Singapore or abroad), and experience in course development and/or training delivery, preferably targeted at adult learners and involved in some form of blended learning. Experience with course administration would be important.
  • Working knowledge of how learning objectives, training formats, and adult learner needs align – enough to support curriculum experts and shape effective learner experiences
  • Working knowledge of public sector systems and institutions, and international governance challenges

SKILLS AND APTITUDES

We are in a start-up phase, developing new products and establishing new partnerships globally.

With that as the context, an ideal candidate would have the following skillsets and aptitudes:

  • Adaptable and resourceful. You may be asked to go beyond your specific job scope and to find innovative solutions in response to new challenges and opportunities.
  • Able to effectively multi-task. You will be managing several concurrent projects with different partners and timelines. It will be important to be organised and detail oriented.
  • Resilient. This means being willing and able to learn by doing, and to take on board feedback appropriately, until you get it right.
Responsibilities

They are seeking to hire for an Executive (Programmes) to support the design and delivery of training and related programmes for the training arm of the organization.

Some of the specific job responsibilities are listed below:

  • Develop and manage learning interventions (e.g., identifying learning needs, designing curriculum, and evaluating learning interventions) based on CIG’s curriculum framework
  • Identify, engage and work with subject matter experts and trainers to shape the content, curriculum and learning outcomes of the learning interventions
  • Partner and engage CIG’s clients to understand key learning needs and contextualise learning interventions to the local context
  • Lead and coordinate programme organisation and administration, which includes but is not restricted to management of programme logistics and provision of learner support
  • Support the development of programme materials, including slides, handouts, participant packs, and digital resources
  • Coordinate feedback collection and post-programme evaluation processes to support continuous improvement
  • Support the development and maintenance of programme delivery templates, checklists, and SOPs to streamline team operations
  • Contribute to research and preparation for programme proposals and client engagements as required
  • Support the team in scoping, designing and executing projects to build capabilities and enhance effectiveness of National Schools of Government (e.g. strategic planning and review, architecting organisational structure and development of internal capabilities)
  • Undertake any other responsibilities related to the establishment and operations of the Academy, as may be reasonably expected given the candidate’s experience and capabilities
