Description
Objective: Responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle to ensure high-quality materials and services are available to support smooth production flow. Involves supplier identification, negotiation, order management, and continuous monitoring of inventory levels to avoid shortages or delays. Plays a vital role in maintaining operational continuity through effective coordination with production, quality, and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Supplier Management Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and required services. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, andreliability. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to secure cost-effective andquality-focused supply agreements. Inventory & Material Planning Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and coordinate with production for timely replenishment. Conduct regular market research to track price trends, new materials, and alternative supplier options. Ensure materials purchased meet required specifications through coordination with quality and engineering teams. Purchase Operations & Documentation Issue purchase orders, track order status, and follow up with suppliers on timelines. Resolve delivery discrepancies, delays, or quality-related issues promptly. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation for audit readiness. Compliance, Coordination & Process Excellence Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and best practices. Build strong internal relationships with production, engineering, and quality teams. Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes. Desired Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in the same role or similar field. Strong analytical and documentation capability. Good computer knowledge including ERP and MS Office. Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management. Effective communication skills and a professional, friendly approach. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
