Haycarb PLC, a subsidiary of the Hayleys Group and one of the world's largest manufacturers of coconut shell-based activated carbon, operates in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, the USA, Australia, and Europe. In Sri Lanka, its manufacturing facilities are in the Northwestern and Western Provinces Haycarb is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Laboratory Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and quality control. Position: Executive – Quality Control (Laboratory Operation) Location: Madampe- Manufacturing Facility Key Responsibilities: * Ensure the quality of final products is in line with required standards and approve products that meet specifications. * Maintain all lab equipment in proper working condition and ensure they operate under standard conditions to meet target performance. * Ensure accuracy of all laboratory tests in compliance with standard test procedures (STPs) and special methods. * Oversee and maintain general housekeeping within the laboratory to uphold a clean and organized environment. * Implement and sustain 5S practices to improve efficiency and safety. * Ensure that all laboratory activities comply with ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) standards. * Take adequate safety precautions to prevent work-related accidents within the lab environment. * Arrange the dispatch of final products as per order sheet specifications without delays. * Ensure the timely preparation and submission of customer sample analyses. * Perform additional duties relevant to the current role, as and when assigned by management. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in science (Four years), with Chemistry as a main subject from a recognized institution or a Master’s degree (MSc or MPhil) in a chemistry-related field, along with a bachelor’s degree in science with Chemistry as a main subject from a recognized institution." * Experience in laboratory operations or in the manufacturing sector will be a distinct advantage. * Strong knowledge in laboratory and people management. * Proficiency in computer literacy. * Good understanding of quality and safety standards. * Good communication and interpersonal skills If you’re ready to take on this challenging and rewarding role, send your CV to hrd@haycarb.com [hrd@haycarb.com] within 14 days of this advertisement or click “Apply Now”.
