JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Combustors & Structural Components (C&SC) Quality Leader will provide strategic and technical leadership to drive Zero Defect Culture and Proactive Quality across the part family network. The person in this role will lead the global quality organization across the part family as well as the supply base and partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement and problem solving.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related experience
  • Experienced People Leade

Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Owner of Zero-Defect Culture and Proactive Quality for C&SC operations, raw material supplier processes, and direct suppliers.
  • Collaborate with business leadership including key leaders at the manufacturing and supplier sites on breakthrough objectives and top-level improvement priorities
  • Champion the Lean Transformation in C&SC Quality operations, providing subject matter expertise on methods and tools such as Problem Solving
  • Drive advanced quality tool maturation in C&SC operations.

Organizational

  • Lead a decentralized global team of quality professionals in site-based teams and across our supply base.
  • Partner with part family plant leaders and supplier leadership to drive priorities and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with horizontal teams in programs, design engineering, shop operations, product support engineering, customer teams, and extended quality organization.
  • Coach/mentor team on an ongoing basis.

Operational

  • Assure performance to Key Performance Indicators in delivered and in process quality.
  • Drive adherence to NPI tollgates and quality deliverables associated with programs.
  • Maintain strong regulatory compliance across network.
