Description

ABOUT US

HirexHire (pronounced hire by hire) is a Chicago-based recruiting and talent consultancy that integrates with companies short-term to provide long-term talent solutions. We take a seat in our client’s everyday operations to understand their people’s goals, gaps, and challenges. We then develop and implement the processes and technologies to execute a sustainable and scalable talent plan.
We partner with companies expecting or experiencing high growth who need to hire at scale or fill a critical role rapidly. Our clients are not looking for quick-fix placements but are thoughtfully building a hiring strategy to scale their businesses.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Our client is in need of a talented Executive Recruiter for their Portfolio Talent team. This role will collaborate with the entire Portfolio Talent team to directly search, acquire, and assess C-suite and board-level executives for our client’s portfolio.
Salary Range: 100-150k + 100% bonus

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the quarterbacking of executive searches across HG’s portfolio, serving as the primary liaison between executive stakeholders (CEO, Board Chair, Value Creation Directors) and retained search partners
  • Drive the full lifecycle of search execution: stakeholder alignment, agency management, candidate evaluation (including top-grading interviews), references, offer negotiation, and onboarding
  • Own and ensure the rigor of process execution, holding both internal and external parties accountable to best practices and consistent outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in high-impact C-level searches (CEO, CFO, CTO, CPO, CRO), especially within product- and tech-oriented companies
  • Manage search documentation and maintain detailed records in the ATS, including top-grading notes, project tracking, and internal updates
  • Support proactive talent pool development and search firm relationship building to ensure ongoing market readiness for future portfolio needs
  • Contribute to high-priority internal and pre-deal talent projects, providing insights and market feedback to deal teams
  • Utilize emerging technology, including AI tools, to enhance sourcing, documentation, and assessment practices
