The Executive/Senior Executive, Operations plays a crucial role in implementing the operational aspects of SPD’s enclave projects under the Supported Employment Programme. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including trainees/contract staff, employers/schools, and the supported employment team, to ensure the smooth execution of job-training and placement activities which lead to meaningful employment and independence.
The ideal candidate should possess a blend of relevant qualifications, experience, and skillsets to effectively execute the operational aspects of job training and placement for people with disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in operations.
  • Prior industry experience in food and beverage industry and/or or working with people with disabilities would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues at work, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent observation skills to effectively monitor staff progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Willingness to travel between various enclaves situated at various parts of Singapore on a daily-basis.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to multi-task and to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, negotiating and people management skills, with a flair in communicating with people from all walks of life.
  • Candidates with demonstrated interest and good knowledge of the social service sector and its dynamics would be favourably considered

Responsibilities

Setting Up Enclave Premises:

  • Work closely with Senior Manager on setting up school canteen enclaves.

Operational Continuity and Maintenance Support:

  • Responsible for the operational continuity of the school canteen enclaves by coordinating leave requests and deployment schedules, as well as ensuring all equipment and fixtures are well maintained and properly functioning, including the scheduling and execution of routine deep-cleaning of the enclave premises.

Operational Process Improvements:

  • Regularly propose ways to improve operational processes of the school canteen enclaves.

Menu Management & Enhancements:

  • Lead R&D efforts for new product development, from ideation to launch.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with external stakeholders (e.g. schools) to organize termly students engagement activities and/or participate in ad-hoc school events, as well as with internal stakeholders (e.g.. other SPD divisions) on the participation of the enclave team at SPD events (e.g.. SPD Charity Golf).

Worksite Liaison:

  • Collaborate with Allied Health Professionals and Job Coaches to address any matters relating to the enclave team members’ performance or job duties. Promptly report any incidents or issues occurring at the worksite for further action and resolution.

Additional Duties:

  • Undertake any other duties assigned by Reporting Officer to support the overall success of the Supported Employment Programme
