Description
[What the role is] We are looking for an operationally-strong and service-oriented individual to join the Mandai Operations Department (MAOD), which oversees the operations and maintenance of NEA's portfolio of memorial facilities. You will provide end-to-end facilities management across Mandai Complex, Yishun Columbarium and Kranji State Cemetery, and play a key role in delivering dignified, high-quality after-death care services to the public. [What you will be working on] You will be responsible for the following: Oversee the daily operations of the facility and installations, including building systems and services, landscaping, pest control, and conservancy. Ensure the proper functioning of all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, including plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and fire protection systems. Carry out daily site inspections across the facilities to monitor cleanliness, maintenance standards, and overall site conditions, and follow up promptly on any defects/gaps identified. Supervise a team of facilities, landscaping, pest control, conservancy and other outsourced contractors to ensure works are carried out satisfactorily in accordance with contract requirements. Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance works in accordance with contract requirements. Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of all works. Plan and carry out procurement of office equipment, supplies, stationery, and other operational items. Perform administrative duties, including processing invoices for payment, managing copier rental contracts, tracking paper usage, and coordinating the provision of uniforms. Handle and manage feedback, including investigation and follow-up actions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain safety standards within the facilities. Respond to and investigate any building-related incidents and coordinate with relevant authorities and internal stakeholders, including after office hours. Participate in major events such as Qing Ming Festivals, scheduled fire emergency exercises, annual shutdown servicing and any other organisational level events, including on weekends and Public Holidays. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. [What we are looking for] Requirements: At least 3 years of relevant experience in Facilities/Estate Management or Engineering. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Good problem-solving, writing & communication skills. Mature, tactful, independent, committed and resourceful. Ability to interact and foster teamwork.
