[What the role is] The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment [What you will be working on] Lead and manage strategic projects and initiatives related to enhancement of observational networks, site investigations, seismic hazard and risk assessments, and technical studies. Develop and review policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of the built environment sector. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, professional bodies, and acadmemia, to foster collaboration and achieve common objectives. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the building and construction industry. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management and relevant committees. Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure successful project delivery. [What we are looking for] Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering discipline, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an advantage. Relevant understanding and experience in Singapore’s geology, site investigation works, seismic and geodetic monitoring, and seismic hazard and risk assessment will be an advantage. Demonstrate an interest in the subject matter and the ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong command of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
