JA The Resort is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef in delivering exceptional culinary standards across our diverse food & beverage outlets. Your Role As Executive Sous Chef, you will play a key role in leading kitchen operations, driving culinary innovation, and ensuring outstanding food quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction. You will: Assist the Executive Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations Lead and inspire culinary teams while personally demonstrating culinary excellence Drive new culinary concepts, menu design, and SOP development Oversee all food-related functions and ensure consistent, high-quality output Support projects and new outlet developments across the property Collaborate closely with F&B, HR, Engineering, and PR teams Ensure full compliance with hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards Maximize financial performance while enhancing guest and colleague satisfaction Key Responsibilities Ensure quality, freshness, presentation, and taste of all food items across outlets and outdoor venues Act on behalf of the Executive Chef when required Supervise all kitchen areas to maintain consistent product excellence Coordinate communication between kitchen teams and other departments Monitor menu implementation and support PR-related culinary initiatives Guide, coach, and develop culinary associates and direct reports Qualifications Culinary School Degree or Culinary Diploma Certificate in Food Production Basic & Intermediate Hygiene (Required) Advanced Hygiene (Preferred) Experience Minimum 10 years culinary experience At least 4 years in a 5-star hotel environment Minimum 2 years in a similar senior role Skills Strong leadership and organizational skills Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent communication and stakeholder management Language Requirements Advanced English (written & verbal) Basic European language or Arabic is an advantage Why Join JA The Resort?
