ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

  • Proven experience in executive support administration, preferably in a senior leadership context.
  • Previous experience working within the Victorian Public Sector or another government environment will be highly regarded.
  • Strong proficiency in managing confidential information, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting ongoing, full-time opportunity exists to join the Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division as an Executive Support Officer. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-level administrative and program support to the Executive Director, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Division. You will play a key role in managing a fast-paced and varied workload, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to a positive and values-driven workplace culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the Executive Director’s diary and inbox, including scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms and video conferencing facilities, and preparing meeting papers.
  • Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing briefings and correspondence to ensure timely action and accurate record keeping.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support across a range of corporate service functions.
  • Liaise effectively with the Office of the Assistant Deputy Secretary and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Foster and maintain positive, professional relationships to support a collaborative team environment.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the Executive Director.
