We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to oversee the operation of the allocated sewing lines at the Product Development Centre incorporating most effective and efficient methods, encouraging QCO activities, ensuring proper information transfer from technical to operation, whilst guiding and motivating the sewing machine operators in order to ensure samples are sewn and delivered to the customer in a timely and accurate manner as per customer standards/ requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze the design sketch/ development meeting questioner and understand the requirement, thereby discuss the production feasibility of same, critical construction/workmanship, folders/attachment required, technical specification and cost-effective methods of developing the same. Oversee style handover meeting, tech pack receiving, sketches and other relevant documents from Garment tech, discuss with relevant persons such as the Industrial Engineering team, mechanic, pattern maker etc. Transfer all development information of styles to the production teams, highlight critical requirements, challenges, special conditions as and when required in order to ensure the smooth functioning of the production process in order to satisfy customer requirements. Follow up on the timely development/ completion of garments by providing constant feedback to the Garment techs, sample room, address concerns related to construction, usage of material etc. thereby ensuring that the development samples meet the requirements of the customer. Ensure initial fit review process is effectively conducted by cross checking the garment construction/ aesthetics with the requirements of the customer, provide relevant feedback on amendments and corrections whilst following up with the relevant teams on the completion of same. Finalize amendments in garment according to feasibility by identifying and manipulate methods on conducting adjustments in pattern whilst guiding the Garment techs in accommodating such changes into the garment to meet customer expectations. Ensure awareness & compliance of team regarding all organizational standards in areas such as Health and Safety, Fire Safety, 5S, Housekeeping, Standards given under MAS Labour Compliance & Customer Compliance etc. whilst, assisting in Projects/ initiatives, including MOS related activities within the team. Oversee the MOS functions within the team, ensure that appropriate organizational standards are maintained and improved as per specification, conduct weekly audits and identify improvement areas, thereby preparing the team for MOS assessments. Ensure that the environment, safety and health standards of the organization are adhered to while actively contribute towards promoting a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within and outside the organization. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Degree/ National Diploma in Textile from a relevant institute. 5-6 Years’ experience in a similar role. Sound Technical knowledge. Basic pattern making and grading knowledge. Machinery and attachment awareness.
