Description The Bison Group LLC is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Executive Vice President (EVP) to lead and grow our government contracting portfolio across Defense, Intelligence Community (IC), and Information Technology sectors. This senior executive will serve as a key member of the corporate leadership team, driving business development, operational excellence, and client relationships across federal agency programs. The EVP will have direct accountability for revenue generation, program delivery, and talent strategy within their portfolio, and will represent The Bison Group LLC to senior government stakeholders, prime contractors, and teaming partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute the company's growth strategy across defense, IC, and IT contracting verticals • Serve as a senior advisor to the CEO on market positioning, competitive intelligence, and long-range planning • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with DoD, IC, and civilian agency customers • Lead capture strategy for major procurements, including IDIQ vehicles, GWACs, and recompetes Business Development & Growth • Drive pipeline development with a target annual contract value (ACV) of $50M+ • Identify and develop strategic teaming arrangements, joint ventures, and acquisition targets • Oversee proposal development process, pricing strategy, and color reviews • Expand company presence within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), DIA, NSA, USSOCOM, and DoD components Program & Operational Oversight • Provide executive oversight for all active programs within the assigned portfolio • Ensure contract compliance, CDRL delivery, and adherence to performance metrics • Partner with Program Managers to proactively resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction • Drive a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and mission focus Talent & Workforce Strategy • Collaborate with recruiting and HR to build a cleared workforce pipeline supporting current and anticipated programs • Mentor and develop senior program managers, division directors, and business development staff • Champion a performance-driven, mission-aligned organizational culture Requirements Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Political Science, National Security, or related field; Master's degree strongly preferred • 20+ years of progressive experience in government contracting, with at least 5 years in a senior executive or VP-level role • Demonstrated track record of winning and delivering contracts across DoD and/or the Intelligence Community • Deep familiarity with contract vehicles (SEWP, CIO-SP3, OASIS, GSA MAS), and government procurement lifecycle Security & Clearance • Active TS/SCI clearance required • Ability to maintain clearance eligibility as required by customer programs Technical & Domain Expertise • Substantive knowledge in one or more domains: Multi-Source Intelligence, ISR, Geospatial Analysis (FMV/GEOINT), Cyber Operations, or IT Modernization • Experience supporting programs at NGA, SOCOM, DIA, NSA, ODNI, or similar IC/DoD agencies • Familiarity with cleared staffing models and workforce dynamics in the national capital region PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, MS in relevant discipline) or senior military/government service (O-6+/GS-15 or SES equivalent) • Prior service in the Intelligence Community or DoD in analytical, operational, or program management capacity • Existing relationships with contracting officers, program managers, and senior leaders across IC/DoD • Experience leading organizations of 200+ cleared FTEs with $75M+ in annual revenue • PMP, DAWIA, or other relevant professional certifications Equal Opportunity Employer Statement: The Bison Group LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
