ABOUT THE ROLE - EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
This position will be based in Cardiff however will work through the hunter region (Scone, Waratah & Cardiff)
Looking to be part of a visionary, dynamic and supportive team seeking to make a significant difference in the lives of older people?
HammondCare is forming an exciting new internal Allied Health Care Team to work in Residential Care. Whilst having the autonomy to work with residents to achieve the best care outcomes, you will also be part of a broader team of in-house Allied Health professionals working alongside and supporting frontline teams.
Together you will deliver resident-centred, evidence-based care in an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and Exercise & Sports Science Australia.
ESSENCE OF THE ROLE
- Provision of timely, effective and high-quality exercise physiologist services to residents and the appropriate support and advice to their representatives and the HammondCare team to meet individual needs and preferences.
- Participate and contribute to assessing residents’ physical wellbeing, and tailor exercise-based interventions to restore optimal physical function, health and wellness, with the focus on enabling choice and the best outcomes for the resident.
- Collaborate closely with residents, their representatives, staff and the broader Allied Health Team to assess functional care needs, set care goals, and provide treatment and interventions to deliver the best possible outcomes for residents.
- Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a person-centred, continuous quality improvement work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and continuing professional development.
