ABOUT THE ROLE

YMCA South Australia is seeking a passionate, skilled and client-focused Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) to join our dynamic Allied Health team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact through high-quality, evidence-based care- while being supported by a committed, collaborative team of professionals.
You will join a supportive, experienced, and values-driven Allied Health team, based primarily at Marion Leisure & Fitness Centre and the Holdfast Bay Community Centre.

As an AEP at YMCA SA, you’ll deliver high-quality, patient-centred care including:

  • One-on-one assessments and tailored clinical exercise programs
  • Group exercise sessions addressing specific health concerns
  • Health education workshops
  • Collaborative care planning with referrers, clients, and team members
  • Navigating funding pathways such as Medicare, NDIS, compensable schemes, and private health

Your caseload may include clients managing:

  • Cardiac, neurological, or musculoskeletal conditions
  • Orthopaedic rehabilitation
  • Diabetes and chronic disease
  • Mental health concerns

You’ll play a vital role in empowering clients to optimise their function, build confidence, and achieve lasting health outcomes.
