Description

Responsible for directing the care and progress of patients in the Inpatient and Outpatient Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs. Reviews medical records of patients, selecting pertinent data to initiate and implement patient specific plan of care. Collaborates with other health care team members in planning patient's care. Implements exercise prescriptions for patients being mindful of their risk stratification. Assess physiologic responses to exercise, including vital signs, telemetry rhythm, and subjective patient responses. Adjusts exercise levels as indicated/appropriate. Responsibilities

The Exercise Physiologist directs the care and progress of patients within cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. They implement exercise prescriptions, monitor physiologic responses, and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust patient care plans.
